I’ve been hacked at work

This is the first time I’ve been hacked, well as far as I know, and at work.

Well this is the most unexpected thing, so I feel like I could share a little bit.

It’s from one of my colleague, younger than I am, and I am pretty close with. He has been using some of the workstations in order for cryptocurrency mining software. It leads to the consequences. He has been terminated from the company. And I got interview with the security police. He asked me why I use the not so strong password and why I use the remote control support software ( such as TeamViewer or AnyDesk).

This brings a lesson for me. Security is the real thing. It can happen to any of us. So we should always follow best practices when it comes to security. Especially we’re living in the digital world like today.
